This building was originally a WWII army barrack in Camrose. The building was then taken over by the Town of Camrose after WWII and leased to the Camrose Old Timer's Association for over forty years.
The Old Timer's added the floor, kitchen and washrooms. This hut was used as a concession and a beer gardens for the fairgrounds.
It currently houses our kitchen that we use for special events as well as many of our static displays including a medical display, military display and wood construction display.
After our early winter 2012 renovation, the Old Timers Hut now houses an industrial food display, military display, wood construction display, scales display, stove display, loom and wool carding display, medical display and a tack room display.
