Sounds of the Solar System with David Hickey of Crystal Journey is being held at the Chuck MacLean Arts Centre. Audiences can expect two forty to fifty minute sets. The usual set includes fifteen to twenty Quartz Crystal Bowls, eight to ten Paiste Planet Gongs, a Vibraphone and a Santoor. Nothing is amplified, pre-recorded or rehearsed. Each set and performance is sonically pure and unique. The combination of all these unique and ancient instruments provides the listener a chance to journey with the sounds to the outer reaches of their minds and the universe.
