Do your part to protect the environment by recycling!
- Please ensure that all items are clean, dry, and free of food or other contamination.
- Please do not put plastic bags, twine, or string in collection bins.
- You may wish to flatten items to conserve space.
A monthly recycling fee is applied to each utility bill in Camrose.
All materials collected will be transferred to other locations for processing. Recycling with Centra Cam is able to resell only selected materials, so please be diligent to determine which items are recycled in Camrose. |

Overview
The "Recycle with Centra Cam" Collection Depot is run by Centra Cam under contract with the City of Camrose. The facility is open for most drop-off's 24 hours per day. The following are instructions for recycling different types of materials. For more information, please call (780) 679-4196 or email us.

Paper/Cardboard
All paper products including cardboard must be clean, dry, and free of food, plastic, wax, or other contamination. Staples are okay. Do not include tissues, napkins, paper cups, paper plates, candy wrappers, or blueprint paper. Please do not put plastic bags, twine, or string into the chute. Styrofoam is not accepted in any bins as it cannot be recycled.
Glass
Rinse all containers clean. Remove all caps. Need not remove labels. Unacceptable items include: ceramics, clay pots, drinking glasses or dishes, light bulbs, mirror or window glass, ovenware, or crystal.
Tin Cans
Labels need not be taken off of tin cans. Rinse cans clean. No scrap metal in bins.
Milk Jugs / Cartons
Rinse jugs and cartons thoroughly. Flatten to conserve space.
Plastics
#1, 3, 5, and 7 plastics are accepted. Check containers closely to determine if they are recyclable. Rinse bottles clean. Remove all caps. No need to remove labels. Do not include plastic bags or automotive product bottles regardless of the recycling number.
E-Waste
Accepted items are paint, batteries (non-rechargable household), fluorescent tubes, desktop computers, monitors, printers and televisions. These items are considered special waste items and are accepted 8:00 a.m - 4:00 p.m. Weekdays. Unacceptable items include: VCR's, and small household appliances.

ICI Study
The City of Camrose had a local consultant work on a commerical, industrial, institutational (ICI) waste reduction strategy which includes diversion/reduction goals and a public education plan recommendation.
