The Camrose Regional Sanitary Landfill is managed by the Camrose Regional Landfill Authority which is a partnership between the City of Camrose, Camrose County, and the Village of Bittern Lake. The Authority is committed to being a leader in responsible environmental stewardship and encourages all citizens to do their part.

The Camrose Regional Sanitary Landfill is fully funded by tipping fees, so no City or County tax revenue is used to fund landfill operations.

The Landfill is operated under an Alberta Environment Approval, which requires strict adherence to regulations to protect air, land, and water.

Scavenging at the Landfill is strictly forbidden.

ICI Study
The City of Camrose had a local consultant work on a commerical, industrial, institutational (ICI) waste reduction strategy which includes diversion/reduction goals and a public education plan recommendation.
